Construction work has begun on a £ 210m overhaul of Hounslow`s High Street. The new High Street Quarter will create 528 new homes along with a new multiplex cinema, shops and office space.
The Barratt development will also include a 27 storey residential tower which will be one of the tallest buildings in West London. At the centre of the scheme will be a new square which will act as a focal point for the town centre. Cineworld will be operating the cineplex element of the project.
Some 40% of the homes being created will be affordable housing and many of the private homes will be available through the London Help to Buy scheme.
